Modernising a key part of Lviv’s energy system

Sector: Clean Energy
Status: Active

Swedfund is financing a feasibility study to develop an investment project for the low-carbon modernisation of the plant. The study includes technical design, financial modelling, an environmental and social impact assessment, and possible financing and implementation arrangements.

The plant supplies around half of Lviv’s heat demand. The plant was commissioned in the 1950s and is now heavily worn, with low efficiency, high operating costs and limited available capacity.
