Modernising and improving Ukraine’s energy production
Introduction
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to Ukraine’s energy security as well as Ukraine’s National Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Plan (NGREP).
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been severely damaged during due to Russia’s full-scale invasion. Part of Ukraine’s energy strategy is to restore short term production capacity primarily from gas-fueled combustion, as well as a green transition in the medium to long term to achieve its net zero target. This includes increasing the capacity for renewable energy and modernising and decarbonising existing production facilities, among others.
