Swedfund is financing technical assistance to support investments in the city’s district heating system. The project includes updating an earlier feasibility study, procurement support, construction supervision and technical advice for the modernisation of boiler houses and the introduction of a digital control system.

Chernivtsi’s district heating system plays an important role in providing heat to the city’s residents and businesses. Parts of the infrastructure are ageing and require modernisation to improve energy efficiency and ensure reliable heat supply.
