Urban Transportation Abidjan
Introduction
Côte d'Ivoire has an ambition to develop urban and public transportation systems in several cities. Urban mobility is a challenge in many cities and the lack of efficient solutions is hampering development.
The project includes the expansion of the public transport system, a new high-capacity Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and the preliminary design of a new BRT line.
The aim is to support the development of Abidjan’s urban transportation system to increase access to affordable and sustainable transport solutions, while facilitating a transition from the informal transport sector.
