Our Impact
The investment contributes to the development of the private sector and sustainable economic growth, climate adaptation and mitigation, and women's economic empowerment by promoting female leadership and increasing access to capital and jobs for women. Furthermore, the investment is expected to contribute to jobs and other income-generating opportunities locally.
ESG
We are working closely with the fund manager to strengthen their environmental and social management systems. We are also working closely with the fund manager to strengthen their anti-corruption management system.
Additionality
Our investment is financially additional as it is made in a difficult and high-risk context where access to capital is limited, poverty rates are high and the business climate is challenging, and as it is expected to help mobilise capital. The investment is value additional through a strong focus on active value creation during the investment phase, where environmental, sustainability and corporate governance issues are prioritised.
