Alternative fuels for public transport in Lagos, Nigeria

:

There is an ongoing development of the public transport system in Lagos. Today, there are a number of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) lines serving the residents. The buses that operate on these routes are exclusively diesel-powered.

Based on an initial study conducted in 2023 and finalised in 2024, Swedfund has received a request for support to further evaluate the possibility of transitioning to alternative, green and locally produced fuels.
