General information on cookies
A cookie is a small text file with data that a website asks to be saved on the visitor’s computer. Cookies are used on many websites to allow visitors to use various functions.
There are two kinds of cookies:
- One kind of cookie is used for functions that tell users about any new features since they last visited the website in question. This kind of cookie will automatically receive an expiration date and remains on your computer until the date has passed, or until it is removed manually.
- A session cookie is temporarily stored in the computer’s memory while the visitor visits the webpage. The session cookie is erased when you close your browser.
