Swedfund reports a preliminary loss after net financial items of MSEK -92,5 (MSEK 107) for the 2009 financial year.
The company is expanding. New investments are expected to give a return in 6-10 years.
As a result of the financial crisis divestments of holdings in mature companies have been postponed. The net sale of shares totalled MSEK 27,6 (MSEK 172,2).
The operating loss was MSEK -121,6 (MSEK 38,7). The net loss was MSEK -3,3 (MSEK 75,5). The company has reversed MSEK 90 of the available tax allocation reserves.
The company’s equity increased to MSEK 2 674 (MSEK 2 078) and the balance sheet total amounted to MSEK 3 382 (MSEK 2 759).
The company has received a shareholder contribution of MSEK 600 (MSEK 300) to enable continuous expansion of its investment operations and to compensate the effects of the financial crisis.
The amount agreed for new investments has increased to MSEK 628 (MSEK 539).
The Annual General Meeting will be held on 27 April 2010 at 1.00 pm, at the company’s head office in Stockholm.
