Andreas Nabseth, Financial Analyst
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a potential investment in an infrastructure project in Cameroon. Cameroon is an interesting country because of its political stability and strong momentum. However, the infrastructure is unfortunately of a very poor standard, which is harming the country since a well-functioning infrastructure is a prerequisite for economic growth. With a future investment Swedfund can be a part of a positive change. I will soon travel to Cameroon together with Senior Investment Manager Fredrik Wijkander. We will meet with initiators of the project, entrepreneurs, representatives of different ministries and future customers and co-investors.
What is on your plate for the immediate future?
Besides the investment in Cameroon I am also working on a potential recapitalization of a bank in Serbia in co-operation with other larger Development Finance Institutions, such as EBRD and IFC. The financial institutions in Serbia have like all others suffered from the financial crisis and are currently in need of additional capital – this is where Swedfund comes into the picture.
