Swedfund has been in existence for almost thirty years and during that time, together with its partners, it has made more than 200 investments on emerging markets in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe (except for EU countries).

Swedfund has 18 investment managers who are dealing with emerging markets on a day-to-day basis, one of them is based in our local office in Nairobi, Kenya. Thanks to its lean and flexible organisation, they are able to make quick decisions on investment proposals. They also possess the competence required for making analyses, tailoring financing solutions and providing contacts with local and international financiers.

Swedfund has an extensive range of financial instruments. The focus is on equity capital in the form of shares and convertibles. We also offer loans at fixed rates of interest, performed-based loans, and credit guarantees. Our goal is to contribute to profitable commercial development when our partners set up new businesses or expand existing ones.
